Dune Burrower Jaws gone AWOL - Guild Wars Forums

There's a collector in the desert that does some rather nice max damage and enhancement (20/20) weapons. All he wants is 5 Dune Burrower Jaws per weapon.

For the last 6 months I have carrying round 2 jaws that I picked up when I first got the desert with my first character. Recently I have been hunting the whole of the desert and in particular around Thirsty River for more jaws, but over about 2 dozen runs I have come up with zero. No matter what I do (with henchies, guildies, or on my own) I cannot get a single jaw pickup anywhere.

Has there been some update which has greatly reduced the pickups on burrower jaws?

Also, I decided that it would be easier to buy the additional jaws, I managed to get 2, but they won't combine with the 2 that I already have. I have to use up 2 slots in my inventory to carry 4 jaws. I have checked with the collector and he says I have 4 so its not much of an issue, just annoying.

Any comments on either point anyone?

All I can add for you is that in the first area of Elona Reach you face 4 dune burrowers, with the old W/Mo Griffon Farming build this area of that mission is farmable. So you can get some Jaws there.

he knows where and how to, he is just ssaying they arent dropping any.

They have always been a rarer drop from the burrowers. I get 1 every 2 runs in the Scar lower portion usually.

i just did 2 runs clearing out the first area in the Elonas mission. out of the 10 dune burrowers in that area i got 2 jaws from those 10 on both runs. took 20 min to do it twice and made 2k on top of that. ive gotten better in the past but i suspect the farming code may be kicking in. ive done that run alot lately

I farm the aforementioned area with the Minos/Dune Burrows. No exaggeration, I get about AT LEAST 4 DBJaws per run. I didn't know they were worth anything until people started buying them at 100g a piece. If you still have trouble, whisper my IGN (Faust Boust), I'd gladly give you the 4 I have on me

I just farmed it twice and got 9 jaws. There are 9 burrowers before the ghostly hero so that's a 50% drop rate. Not bad.
